A vacuum pump package for Carbolite Gero tube furnaces consists of vacuum pump, flowmeter for inert gas, vacuum gauge, vacuum tight valve, bypass for fast purging, gas outlet valve and safety overpressure valve.
Combine a vacuum pump package with a vacuum work tube package and a Carbolite Gero tube furnace to create a complete system for your vacuum applications. Includes an inert gas package for back filling with an inert gas.
Carbolite Gero offers two different vacuum pump options for tube furnaces, rotary vane pump and turbomoloecular pump.
The turbomolecular pump consists of stators between several high speed rotors. The rotational speed is about 90,000 revolutions per minute. At these speeds, the rotor is now in the range of the particle velocity enabling gas to be pushed through the pump. When combined with a pre-vacuum pump, the achievable vacuum level is in the high vacuum range or better.
Turbomolecular pumps are the most convenient and frequently used pumps for high and ultra-high vacuum operation. Very high atmospheric purity of the furnace chamber is achieved as the pump easily removes heavy, slow particles, such as hydrocarbons.
Carbolite Gero's turbo pump version consists of vacuum pump, inert gas package, vacuum gauge, vacuum tight valve, bypass for fast purging, gas outlet valve and safety overpressure valve. In a cold, clean, dry and empty furnace the turbo pump option reaches 5 x 10-5 mbar.
The rotary vane pump is a pre vacuum pump and is the most frequently used pump. The pump is used for direct evacuation of atmospheric pressure with a rotating speed of approximately 1,500 turns per minute via a radial, movable plug. The vacuum chamber of the pump is greased with oil.
Carbolite Gero's rotary pump version consists of vacuum pump, inert gas package, vacuum gauge, vacuum tight valve, bypass for fast purging, gas outlet valve and safety overpressure valve. In a cold, clean, dry and empty furnace the rotary pump option is able to reach a vacuum level of 5 x 10-2 mbar.
